Clean Simple Ingredients

“At Orontes, we never add anything unnecessary,” says Murat Hokka, founder of Orontes. “Our formula is simple: A2A2 grass-fed milk + chicory root fiber + pure culture + time. No gelatin, no pectin, no starch, no gums. Just natural texture and real flavor — the way yogurt was meant to be.”

A truly healthy yogurt begins with its ingredients. Real yogurt is made from only two things: milk and live cultures. Nothing more is needed. But here is the real question every consumer should ask: If a yogurt uses organic milk, yet still contains gums, starches, pectin, gelatin, or stabilizers… is it truly healthy?

Even organic yogurt can contain these additives, and yes, the gums, starches, or pectins they use may even be certified organic. But does organic make them beneficial? Short answer: No. Organic gum is still gum.

Organic starch is still starch. Organic pectin is still pectin. Organic gelatin is still gelatin — and it doesn’t belong in real yogurt. Being organic does not make an additive healthy or necessary. Real yogurt does not need these ingredients. Milk + culture = yogurt. Everything else is excess, organic or not.

“That’s why my team at Orontes and I do not use organic additives,” Hokka explains. “More labels, more claims, more certifications only confuse the consumer.” “Our approach is clear: grass-fed A2A2 milk, fermented with chicory root fiber, 20-hour slow fermentation, natural thickness without any additives, health delivered through simplicity. The simpler the ingredient list, the more natural, nourishing, and beneficial the yogurt.”

As Kyle Fitzgerald says, “When I shop, I look for products with real food ingredients, not artificial sweeteners or hidden additives.” Orontes takes the same approach, ensuring every cup contains only natural ingredients — no gums, pectin, starch, or gelatin.

No preservatives. No thickeners. No stabilizers. No gelatin.

And most importantly: “We never remove the milk fat. We don’t skim, standardize, or dilute. Because whole milk preserves the natural integrity of nutrition. Milk fat is not just energy; it is nature’s carrier for vitamins A, D, E, and K, essential for hormone balance, cellular structure, immune support, and nervous system health. Removing milk fat removes nutrition. That is why Orontes is always whole milk, whole truth,” Hokka adds.
Every cup of Orontes is produced in our own facility, Penn Dairy, using grass-fed A2A2 milk and proprietary cultures. “We heat the milk to 190°F (88°C) for 30 minutes, a gentle process that naturally dissolves proteins, improves digestibility, and creates thickness without needing gums, pectin, starch, or gelatin. Because thickness exists naturally in milk, not in additives,” Hokka says.

“And the most important part: Orontes is fermented slowly for 20 hours. This long fermentation strengthens live bacteria, increases probiotic activity, develops structure, and creates natural thickness, without additives. The result: stronger probiotics, easier digestion, and authentic yogurt in its purest form.”

“At home, fermenting yogurt with chicory root fiber (inulin) is difficult; it requires constant mixing. At Orontes, my team and I do that work for you. We ferment the fiber together with the milk, so probiotics meet prebiotics from the very beginning. The result: a more balanced, more functional yogurt. By the time it reaches your kitchen or store shelf, just open and enjoy. No mixing. No fuss. Because your time matters,” Hokka explains.
In Mediterranean tradition, yogurt means purity, balance, and simplicity. “We do not strain it. We do not throw away whey. We keep protein in its natural balance. Texture and flavor come from nature, not additives,” says Hokka.

A2A2 grass-fed milk is the gentlest, most digestible form of dairy available. This natural structure improves digestion, supports protein absorption, and creates a more comfortable experience for many consumers. “And the combination of prebiotic fiber + probiotic culture helps beneficial bacteria live longer in the gut, naturally supporting digestion and balance,” Hokka adds.

Milk from local pasture-based farms is crafted at Penn Dairy and delivered to your table under the name Orontes. “At every step, my team and I honor three values: craft, quality, and honesty,” says Hokka.
